Do you like collecting or keeping things? Then buttons might be the thing for you!

For National Button Day we completed a few craft projects which needed good hand coordination and concentration skills.

To utilise buttons in a creative way you don't need many tools or much time.

You can encourage them to use some fine motor skills by making button snakes. This DIY project is an educational activity that involves a bit of preparation from your side but can guarantee hours of fun for your toddler. Before the session I created the felt bases and prepped the ribbon with sawn buttons. Click on the link to find out how to make one at home.

We also made some jellyfish with pipe cleaners and buttons for decoration. They look colourful and great fun!
