Rhyme & Craft is back from holidays, filled with good vibes and new rhymes to enjoy!
In the past two weeks we completed some lovely projects at our craft table, including a 'Sandy beach scene with baby's handprints' (a little messy but what a nice thing to treasure) and some colourful ice lollies decorated with cut-out swirls and shapes. They looked yum!

We did lots of bouncy rhymes and walked, trotted and galloped like Josie off to the market (with 'Father, Mother and Uncle John'), the farm (Old McDonald, B-I-N-G-O), the pond ('Five little ducks', 'Hanky panky') and the zoo to meet some friends stuffed with fluff. We got into our boats ('Row, row, row your boat'), continued our journey on a bus (the 'Big red' one) and event went to outer space ('Zoom, zoom, zoom').
The children also created lovely, warm paper plate suns to bring a little sunshine in before the summer comes to an end. We also made some nice cool lemonade and juice using sponge and decorated them with ice cubes and a straw.
Summer is a very rewarding season for crafts. Because you are out quite a lot, why not gather some materials that you think you could use for creating something simple together like painting pebbles or making a Stick-man. Join in and do a hopscotch, blow bubbles, pick fruits or bounce on the trampoline together and let them soak up the sun.
