We had another fun-filled morning at both Thursday and Friday's sessions, jam-packed with songs and activities about last week's topic, the five senses.

The session began with a couple of welcome songs and we were soon busy making a sensory discovery bottle of our own from beads, buttons and dry pasta. What a shake that was! We also visited 'Old McDonald's farm' and heard the 'Little Green Frog' croaking.
The children tried various textures with a soft, a smooth and a spiky ball and it was time to sing 'A hedgehog is very prickly'.

We also shared a story of 'That's not my princess' touching velvety sashes, thick dresses, bumpy bows and did 'Head, shoulders, knees and toes'.

When our puppet friends came to sing 'Five in the bed', we spotted the little one not only rolling, but holding a teddy. We decided to see who was ticklish by doing 'Round and round the garden' which they all enjoyed with a giggle. Our imagination took us all the way to the woods to help at the teddies' picnic. With a bit of pretend play we laid their table whilst smelling something delicious, some 'Hot cross buns' and a yummy 'Jelly on a plate'. We sang 'Pat a Cake' to see whether it tasted better than the 'Five fat sausages' the teddies were having.
At the end everybody joined in to make a tipping teapot at the craft table. We soon spotted a twinkling 'Little star' and so it was time to finish our picnic and say our goodbyes until next time.
